Study Abroad In Barcelona - Learn Spanish in Style With SAB
Study Abroad in Barcelona for Parents and Advisors

In addition to membership with NAFSA (the Association of International Educators), Study Abroad in Barcelona Co-Directors Anna Castells Esteve and Bryce L. Krause, both fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan, and French, have over ten years of experience in the study abroad world, not counting their time as students in France, Argentina, England, and Canada on exchange programs.

Study Abroad in Barcelona began as the result of a combined passion for sharing valuable cultural and academic experiences abroad.

As a native of Barcelona, Anna brings invaluable experience to SAB in terms of knowledge of local culture and experience working with international students both in Spain and in France. Anna has a degree in tourism from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona.

As an American, and a former professor, Bryce enhances SAB with his knowledge of American Universities, International Education, and second language learning. Bryce has degrees in International Studies and French from the University of Evansville and is currently working towards a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administrative Services at McKendree University.

Study Abroad in Barcelona can assure parents and advisors that students will experience an educational, fun, and safe time while studying with us.

All students at Study Abroad in Barcelona will benefit from:

The transfer and application of academic credit from Study Abroad in Barcelona is ultimately decided by each student's home institution.

Transcripts are provided by SAB's school of record Olivet College. Students should be aware that transcripts can take up to a semester to process.

Each student at Study Abroad in Barcelona is strongly advised to keep a copy of all material used in order to provide examples to their home universities should it be necessary.

We are always available to help answer questions regarding credit transfer, and we are happy to do everything in our power to make this process work well for all parties involved.

Students will be expected to review course descriptions and present them to their academic advisors and study abroad advisors for approval prior to departure.

Credit hours for each summer program are based on a typical semester scheme, meaning that each program is worth six semester credits, or the equivalent of one year's worth of college Spanish.

Note:

Study Abroad in Barcelona students do not require a visa to study with us. As long as a student's stay in Barcelona (and in Europe) is no longer than three months, the Spanish government only requires a US passport valid for at least six months after the date the student's departure.

If you have any doubts or questions, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.

We look forward to working with you and with your college student soon!
