Study Abroad in Barcelona is an intensive, Spanish language and culture summer study abroad program for American college students.

Study Abroad in Barcelona provides students with the opportunity to obtain one year's worth of accredited college Spanish language studies (introductory level or intermediate level) over the course of four weeks of intensive language classes and cultural activities. 

When we say we are an intensive Spanish language program, that means that students will have twenty six class hours each week, only in Spanish as of day one, including:

Students will receive accredited transcripts from Olivet College, Study Abroad in Barcelona's school of record. 

Established in 1844, Olivet College is a private, liberal arts institution located in south central Michigan. The college remains dedicated to its academic vision of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility by providing a quality higher education to all, regardless of gender, race or financial means. 

The college is home to more than 1,100 students, who study under The Olivet Plan. In this unique educational experience, students engage in both curricular and co-curricular programs that combine real world experiences with lectures and service learning.

As the number of students we can accept is limited, Study Abroad in Barcelona only accepts students who truly wish to take advantage of the classes, cultural activities, and excursions offered. Scholarships and discounts are available to help students cover the cost of attending SAB.

For the convenience of students, classes are held on site at the Residència Universitària Sarrià, and Study Abroad in Barcelona professors are highly-qualified, fun, and demanding native-Spanish speakers who work year round as language instructors and college professors. 

The atmosphere at Study Abroad in Barcelona will surely be exciting, new, and different from that of your home university. The four weeks of intensive Spanish courses with Study Abroad in Barcelona will be far more demanding than a normal year of language studies at a typical American university as students in our immersion programs accomplish more in one day of class at SAB than in an entire week at college.
